Naomi Hope Lusk, MA, LSW

My name is Naomi (she/her) and I am a Licensed Social Worker, mental health therapist, and healing companion. I work with people who are seeking connection, liberation, empowerment, and a deeper sense of self. I am a trauma survivor myself, and I identify as multiracial, transgender, and spiritual.

I attended Indiana University Bloomington and obtained a B.S. in Psychology, then a MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. My first clinical position out of school was working as a substance use counselor at methadone clinics. From there, I moved into general practice for a time, eventually deciding to step away from large agencies to build something more meaningful to me, on my own terms.

Blossom Trauma Therapy is my passion project that has reconnected me with my roots, aspirations, and fulfillment in the work I do. I was led to specialize in trauma therapy because I know personally how painful and rewarding the healing process of this kind of work can be. I feel honored to be a support for people in their darkest moments, to celebrate together in their victories, to bear witness to their resiliency and commitment to themselves.

I also work with issues like substance use, grief, relationship conflicts, mood disorders, and more to respect how trauma can intersect and influence other mental health issues, and vice versa. True healing means caring for the whole picture, not just one part of it.

I approach therapy holistically to respect the identities and lived experiences that have shaped us into who we are today. I feel it’s so important to be seen in your entirety and I hold a strong commitment to affirming care. I often work with LGBTQIA2S+ clients but my practice is also a space for anyone seeking support regardless of their identity or background. I would describe my therapeutic style as flexible, collaborative, and genuine in all accounts. There is no room for judgment here, only safety and authentic connection.

Outside of work, I live in Colorado with my cat, Juno. I’ve moved around the country a handful of times and Colorado has felt the most like home so far. I love music, art, hiking, video games, fashion, and spending time with friends. My current goals are mostly professional: pursuing EMDR training, gaining licensure in Illinois, and creating more balance between work and rest.

I think it’s an amazing thing for anybody to consider or participate in therapy. It may take some time but I hope that we are able to build a bond that truly facilitates your healing process. I am grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you on your healing journey!
